A model to teach corneal nerve block and horn disbudding techniques on calves.

The Calf Disbudding Model incorporates an electronic corneal nerve block which allows you to practice feeling for the correct position of the nerve and injecting at the correct angle and depth. When the nerve is hit with the needle, a buzzer sounds and the LED light will change color.

After the corneal nerve block has been mastered, you can practice disbudding. Using our Holsim Disbudding Tool and disposable horn buds, you can practice feeling for the bud, cutting through the skin and flicking the bud out. The calf has a realistic feel with a hard skull, soft neck and floppy reinforced ears. Our Calf Disbudding Model is battery powered so can be taken anywhere for class learning.
